Justice Arindam Sinha and Justice Chandra Dhari Singh were sworn in as judges of the Allahabad High Court on Monday (April 7). 

Justice Arindam Sinha was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court on October 30, 2013 and as a permanent Judge on March 14, 2016. He was later on transferred to Orissa High Court and where he took oath on October 08, 2021. In the Orissa High Court, he served as the Acting Chief Justice from January 19 to March 25, 2025, till the current Chief Justice Harish Tandon assumed office.

Subsequently, the Supreme Court collegium recommended his transfer to the Allahabad High Court on March 20, 2025 which was notified by the Central Government on March 28, 2025.

Justice Chandra Dhari Singh was was appointed as Additional Judge on September 22, 2017 and took oath as Permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court on September 06, 2019. He was transferred to Delhi High Court on October 11, 2021. The Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna in November 2024 had recommended Justice Singh's repatriation to the Allahabad High Court which was approved by the Central Government on March 28.
