Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan inaugurated a Crèche / Day Care Centre within the High Court premises on Thursday (October 9) aimed at creating a supportive work environment for members of the judiciary, advocates and staff.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice emphasized the importance of institutional support for working parents, particularly women, noting that such initiatives contribute meaningfully to gender sensitization and work-life balance within the justice delivery system.

A press note on the inauguration stated:

"The High Court of Jharkhand today inaugurated its Crèche / Day Care Centre within the High Court premises, a progressive step towards creating a more inclusive and supportive work environment for members of the judiciary, advocates, and staff. The Crèche / Day Care Centre was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, The Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Judges of the High Court of Jharkhand, Registrar General, Members of the Registry and Learned Members of the Bar". 

The Crèche/Day Care Centre aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, thereby enabling parents working in the High Court to perform their professional duties with peace of mind.

"The initiative reflects the High Court's commitment to promoting welfare measures that support a healthy and inclusive workplace culture," the press note adds.
