Project Associate Vacancy At Collaborative Research Project between NUJS, IISER Kolkata And IIT Kharagpur

Th West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences Kolkata invites application for the post of Project Associate for a collaborative research project titled 'LegiSearch: Search Engine for Legislative Indian Legal Documents', jointly conducted by NUJS, IIT Kharagpur, and IISER Kolkata and sponsored by NUJS.

Essential Qualification and Experience

• LL.M. with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. (Candidates who have relevant industry and/or research experience of a minimum of 2 years, with a 3 Year LL.B. degree or a 5-Year integrated B.A./B.Sc./BBA./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) degree or equivalent may also apply, as may candidates who may already have appeared for their LL.M. final year examination and are awaiting their result).

• Demonstrable interest in the field of law and technology, legal research and publications.

• Familiarity with existing legal databases such as Manupatra, SCC Online, Indian Kanoon, India Code, Westlaw, Hein Online, LexisNexis, JSTOR, together with regulatory websites such as those maintained by the RBI, SEBI, CCI, TRAI, PNGRB etc. and websites maintained by the various ministries and departments on central and state levels in India.

• Proficiency in English and working knowledge of either Hindi and a regional language, or two regional languages.

• Familiarity with using computers and electronic devices including programmes such as MS Office.
