Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonepat, a academic institution committed to advancing constitutional values and legal scholarship, announces its National Conference on 'One Nation, One Election: Constitutional, Federal, and Democratic Dimensions' scheduled for 6th–7th September 2025.
India, the world's largest democracy, is facing a debate around the Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill, 2024, which proposes synchronised elections to the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies. While this vision of 'One Nation, One Election' promises administrative efficiency and economic prudence, it also raises questions about constitutional propriety, the federal balance of power, and the participatory depth of Indian democracy.

This conference seeks to create a platform for academicians, legal professionals, policymakers, researchers, and students to evaluate this proposed electoral reform against the backdrop of India's traditions of governance and jurisprudence.

- Citation Style: Harvard Bluebook, 21st Edition.
