In a significant humanitarian gesture, the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, D. K. Upadhyay, and other judges of the High Court joined the leadership of the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) today to flag off the first truckload of flood relief supplies for Village Kamirpura in the Ajnala District of Punjab.

The event, held on October 13, 2025, marks a major step in the DHCBA's recently launched initiative to formally adopt the village, which was devastated by recent floods on the banks of the Ravi river. DHCBA President N. Hariharan and other office bearers were also present to oversee the dispatch.

This relief truck is part of a comprehensive rehabilitation plan developed by the DHCBA. Alongside the essential supplies, the association has also dispatched its first tranche of financial aid. This initial funding is specifically earmarked for the critical task of clearing debris and silt that has accumulated over nearly 108 acres of the village's farmland, which is the primary source of livelihood for the local community.
