Centre Notifies Transfer Of Four High Court Chief Justices

The Central Government has notified the transfer of four High Court Chief Justices.

In a notification issued today, the central government notified the transfer of Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava to Madras High Court as CJ, Tripura High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh to Telangana High Court as CJ, Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao to Tripura High Court as CJ and Madras High Court Chief Justice KR Shriram to Rajasthan High Court as its CJ.

The collegium had recommended their transfer on 26th May, 2025.

The Centre also cleared the elevation of five judges as the Chief Justices of five other High Courts.

 

Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court on February 2nd, 2024. His parent High Court is High Court of Chattisgarh and he had been holding the portfolio of Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court before being appointed as the Chief Justice.

Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh was appointed as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court on 11th April, 2023. His parent High Court is High Court of Jharkhand.

Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, whose parent High Court is the High Court of Telangana was appointed as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court on 27th September, 2024.

Justice KR Shriram, whose parent High Court is the Bombay High Court was appointed as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court on 26th September, 2024.
