NEET-PG 2025| Supreme Court To Hear Pleas To Disclose Answer Papers & Answer Key After August 3
The Supreme Court today clarified that it will be hearing the issue of non-disclosure of answer papers and answer keys for the NEET-PG 2025 Exams after August 3.
The bench of Justices K Vinod Chandran and NV Anjaria was hearing a batch of petitions dealing with several issues relating to the conduct of NEET PG 2025 exams. These were concerning the two-shift policy that the National Board of Examination (NBE) adopted earlier as well as refusal of National Board of Examination (NBE) to provide access to the answer key and the answer papers of the NEET-PG examination.
During the hearing, the counsels appearing for the petitioners informed the bench that, subsequent to the Court's order of May 30, which directed NBE not to hold NEET-PG 2025 in two shifts, the NBE sought permission from the Court to reschedule the exam for August 3. The Counsel also reminded that the Court had earlier said that the issue of non-disclosure will be dealt with after the exams are conducted.
Considering the same, the Court listed the matter for hearing after August 3.
Notably, before the order of May 30, the exam was scheduled to be held on June 15.
In a related development, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has also filed a writ petition under Article 32 challenging the conduct of NBE for not "providing the answer sheets to the candidates, which further hinders NEET PG candidates the ability to cross check their scores."
FAIMA has filed the plea with the assistance of Advocate Tanvi Dubey.
Recently, the Supreme Court also delivered a judgment giving various directions to stop seat-blocking in NEET-PG counselling. The Court also directed the publication of raw scores, answer keys and normalisation formulae of NEET-PG exams.
