'Veer Parivar' Not Alone: Gujarat High Court Chief Justice Launches Legal Clinics To Aid Defence Personnel, Families

The Gujarat State Legal Services Authority (GSLSA) on Wednesday (August 13) virtually launched legal services clinic in 11 districts in the State under the aegis of the 'NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana 2025', aimed to provide benefits to defence personnel, ex-servicemen and their family members.
Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal who is also the Patron in Chief of GSLSA inaugurated the clinics virtually across all Zilla Sainik Boards in the State.
"Armed forces stand as first line of defence for our sovereignty. Behind every soldier lies a family that carried both the pride of the service and weight of service. Veer parivars are not just part of the society but very backbone of our national spirit. The establishment of this clinic is a promise that veer parivaar will never have to stand alone in the face of legal uncertainty..." the Chief Justice said in her address.
The Chief Justice thanked the efforts of the GSLSA and said that it is the commitment of every member of GSLSA and every District Legal Services Authority which ensured that each clinic could be opened in such a short time.
The Yojana aims to guarantee free accessible and qualitative legal aid to serving defence personnel, ex-servicemen and their families in the country.
The ceremony was also attended by Justice AY Kogje the Executive Chairman of GSLSA, Justice AS Supehia Chairman of High Court Legal Services Committee, high court judges, member secretary of GSLSA HM Pavar, Judicial Officers and other dignitaries.
Lt. Colonel (retd.) Krishnadeep Singh Jethwa Director of Rajya Sainik Board and Wing Commander (retd.) CD Ramesh who is the Deputy Director of the Board were also present at the inauguration.
11 Zilla Sainik Board officers had joined the proceedings virtually from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mehsana, Surat, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Sabarkantha, Kachch, Panchamal, Surendranagar and Porbandar.
