An office bearer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has moved the Kerala High Court opposing Shane Nigam starrer 'Haal' over alleged "degraded" portrayal of the organisation in the film.

The film came in controversy after the Central Board of Film Certification suggested several cuts including beef biriyani eating scene and a sequence in song where heroine uses Muslim religious attire to hide her identity.

Director and producer of the film had then approached the High Court, challenging grant of A certification. But a Christian outfit sought impleadment in the matter, alleging that it hurts the religious sentiments of the community by depicting Thamarassery Bishop as a supporter of 'Love Jihad'.

The Court had then decided to watch the movie on October 25, along with the respondents and their counsels.

Now, the RSS member approached the High Court, stating that the film is intended to defame the organisation by depicting its activities as "aggressive and thuggish".

"Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has been degraded and discredited as a riotous, thuggish and loutish organisation...I respectfully submit that such scenes if permitted to be exhibited as intended by respondents I & 2, it would deeply hurt the sentiments of more than four million participants and supporters," the impleading petition states.

Justice V.G. Arun today allowed the impleading petition and adjourned the matter to tomorrow (October 31) for a detailed hearing.
