Madhya Pradesh High Court Warns Advocate For Using 'Indecent Language' Regarding Court

The Madhya Pradesh High Court accepted a lawyer's apology for using indecent language during proceedings and further warned him of appropriate action if he uses indecent language again in future in court.
The bench of Justice Pramod Kumar Agarwal observed;
"During the course of arguments, learned counsel for applicant has used indecent language regarding Court for which he tendered unconditional apology. He is warned to be careful in future. If indecent language is again used by him regarding Court, then the appropriate action will be taken against him".
The case pertained to a bail application of Munnalal and 3 others who were arrested by the Police for allegedly assaulting the complainant, Aniket. Per the order in the co-accused case, the applicant with the co-accused had allegedly abused and assaulted the complainant and others with lathi, sickle and axe.
As per a purported video circulating online, during the hearing of the matter, a heated exchange took place between the counsels for the applicant and the State, regarding the status and whereabouts of the complainant, wherein the counsel for the applicant allegedly made a remark regarding the court.
The order notes that the counsel for the State submitted that the injured Aniket was earlier admitted in the hospital on 15.06.2024 and discharged on 17.06.2024. As per report received from concerning Police Station, he was again admitted in the hospital on 03.07.2024 but it was not mentioned that on which date he was discharged from the hospital.
The State's counsel sought time to call for information from concerned Police Station that on which date injured Aniket was discharged from the hospital.
The matter is listed on September 1.
