Centre Notifies Transfer Of Two Telangana High Court Judges

The Central Government on Thursday (May 1) notified the transfer of Telangana High Court Justices P Sree Sudha and K Surender to Karnataka and Madras High Courts respectively.
The notification issued by the Union Law Ministry with respect Justice P Sree Sudha's transfer states:
"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Smt. Justice Perugu Sree Sudha, Judge, Telangana High Court, to be a Judge of the Karnataka High Court and to direct her to assume charge of her office in the Karnataka High Court".
The notification issued by the Union Law Ministry with respect Justice K Surender's transfer states:
"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Shri Justice Kasoju Surendhar Alias K. Surender, Judge, Telangana High Court, to be a Judge of the Madras High Court and to direct him to assume charge of his office in the Madras High Court".
Last month the Supreme Court collegium had recommended the transfer of seven High Court Judges with a view to "infuse inclusivity and diversity" and "to strengthen the quality of administration of justice."
