    Ernst & Young invites application for the post of Assistant Manager (Legal) in Commercial Contracting with GDS GCO Enablement Team.

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    • Law Graduate/ LL.B., with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, Legal terms and conditions, Government tenders, RFPs, Subcontractor Agreements, and other complex contracts with an appreciation of general legal and risk management issues. Experience in Singapore, US and UK laws are preferred.

    • Extensive experience in negotiation including negotiating (Non-Compete and Most Favoured Customer clause).

    • Previous risk management at a professional services firm.

    • Experience of senior management and stakeholder management.

    • Interest in the area of risk management or compliance.

    • Knowledge of data protection (GDPR/CCPA), privacy and security terms.

    • Confidence delivering subject matter content to peers and seniors (to facilitate training either in person or online).

    • Understanding of compliance related concepts such as Independence, Conflicts.

    • Experiences in drafting and negotiating IP terms in contracts.

    • Past experience in Big 4/handling SAT related matters (optional).

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, finalising and advising on client and procurement contracts (for EY and Singapore member firm) and shall include:

    • Client Contracts (Engagement Agreement, Teaming Agreement, Sub-Contract Agreement, RFPs, NDAs.

    • High level understanding of concepts of IT contracts.

    • Act as a point of contact for EY's business/procurement teams and support the legal team.

    • Have a thorough understanding of general key business risks that need to be managed (training will be facilitated in respect of EY's specific risk management framework)

    • Collaborating with internal specialist functions including Independence, onshore legal teams, Security, Privacy and Risk Management

    • Maintaining an understanding of the impact of changes in EY policies, organizational structure, and procedures.

    • Guiding and handholding the junior team members in their day-to-day transactions.
