Essential Qualification and Experience

• Master's degree, preferably in Law, Legal Studies, or a related social science discipline with 5 to 6 years of experience in training, capacity building, curriculum development, learning experience design, and implementation support for programmes related to law and legal issues, and/or experience undertaking litigation and mentoring lawyers.

• Ability to design and develop curriculum / material in English and Hindi and conduct short courses in English and Hindi, for frontline functionaries of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working on access to justice, and specifically lawyers.

• Basic experience in monitoring learning outcomes.

• Ability to reflect and think critically.

• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work collaboratively and in teams.

Desirable:

• Specializations in one or more specific thematic areas such as laws relating to children, women, dalits and adivasis, labour, and other vulnerable groups, or on land, forest, social security and other entitlements.

• Experience in implementing programmes in the broad area of access to justice.

• Experience in litigation and strong networks within Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across India working on access to justice.

• Experience of working with government sectors.
