Essential Qualification and Experience

• Possessing a law degree (mandatory).

• Candidate should be Enrolled with a Bar Council (mandatory).

• Candidate should be possessing about one to three year of work experience in litigation (flexible, can be decreased if exceptional understanding of litigation is demonstrated). The candidate should understand filing requirements and must have a sense of courtroom advocacy.

• Prior experience of undertaking human rights advocacy will be an edge.

• Candidate should be possessing sensitivity and empathy and deep investment in the cause.

• This is a full-time employment opportunity with a minimum of 4 days of in person office presence in Delhi per week being mandatory.

• Since ours is a small team, willingness to often undertake more clerical tasks would be an asset.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drafting writ petitions / representations / pleadings / affidavits of all other kinds.

• Conducting legal research and assisting in court hearings and arguing matters independently.

• Assisting in institution-building initiatives, such as organizing events, writing articles, conducting outreach campaigns, etc.

• Advocating for policy changes and promote disability inclusion in collaboration with institutions.

• Assisting our co-founders in matters taken up by them as private legal practitioners.

• Working with registry officials, clerks, etc. to cure defects, get matters listed, etc.
