    Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai invites application for the post of Registrar, Professor, (DPIIT) IPR Chair Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor (Law), and Internship and Placement Officer.

    Name of the Post: Registrar, Professor, (DPIIT) IPR Chair Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor (Law), and Internship and Placement Officer

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    Registrar

    • A Master's Degree of any statutory University.

    • At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the A.G.P. of Rs.7000/- and above, or with 8 Years of service in the A.G.P. of Rs. 8000/- and above, including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational Administration OR Comparable experience in Research establishment and/or other Institutions of Higher Education. OR Total 15 years of administrative experience OR Total 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

    • Desirable Qualification: • Qualification of Law • Ph.D. Degree. • Experience in educational administration • Knowledge of speaking and writing in Marathi and English Language.

    Professor

    • An eminent scholar with Ph.D. / LL.D Degree in Law and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of high quality published works with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table.2 of UGC Regulations, 2018. (enclose proof). • A minimum of ten years teaching experience in University/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and /or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates. • Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. • A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) of UGC OR A minimum of ten years teaching experience in University /college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and /or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.

    (DPIIT) IPR Chair Professor

    • Ph.D. in Intellectual Property Rights / Law. ii. An academic/scholar of outstanding track record in the area of IPR and aligned area of studies. iii. Good knowledge of latest national and international research trends and developments in relevant area; iv. Retired Officials of IP Offices under CGPDTM having experience of 5 years of working at GP ₹ 6600/- or above as Controller of Patent & Design or Registrar of Trademark & Geographical Indications or Registrar of Copyrights); v. An outstanding professional with established reputation in the field of IPR, who has made vi. significant contribution to knowledge in the field (to be substantiated by credentials); vii. Teaching or Industry experience of 10 years in a reputed organization is required.

    Associate Professor

    • Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Law. • A Master's Degree in Law with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from any recognized University or an equivalent degree from any foreign University. • A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy-five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018. (enclose proof • Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. • A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) of UGC.

    Assistant Professor (Law)

    • A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Byelaws / Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET / SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions: a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.

    • The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: i. Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ii. the Times Higher Education (THE) or iii. the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

    Internship and Placement Officer

    • A post-graduate degree from a recognized University Preferably in Law, Journalism or Mass Media or any other stream with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

    • 2 years' experience of public relations or placement services. Preferably in a University or an Institution of higher learning. • Should be able to liaise with press, electronic media, Law firms, Advocates, Courts etc. • Should be able to prepare publicity material and prepare press releases / notes. • Should be able to manage the Placement Cell of the University.
