    KPMG India invites application for the post of Senior Manager (Power and Utility).

    Name of the Post: Senior Manager (Power and Utility)

    Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    • B.E. / B.Tech./ Equivalent.

    • MBA or equivalent from a reputed institution.

    • Professionals with 15 years of experience in the power sector including experience of working with utilities and / or regulatory authorities in South Asia.

    • Policy Regulatory Advisor with a minimum bachelor's degree in law, economics, engineering, finance, public policy, or a similar field - (a) Areas of expertise: Theory and practice of regulations, including competitive electricity market, regulatory reform, tariff modelling, legal and regulatory framework for electricity market development, regional power pools and cross border power trading, open-access, market reform, and expertise in one regulatory area (economic, policy, technical). (b) Hands-on experience of regulatory activities including public consultation, consumer protection, strategic planning, regulatory oversight, policy-related rulemaking, analyzing utility filings, and (c) Experience in a renewable energy, especially hydropower-dominant system.

    • Economic Regulatory Advisor with a minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, economics, business, finance or related field. Stint with an electricity regulatory entity/ firm/ utility - (a) Areas of expertise: Regulatory/ utility accounting, utility finance, power system economics, regulatory analysis and behavior, project finance, financial modeling and tariff/pricing methodologies and setting including social tariff/pricing methodologies etc.

    • Legal Regulatory Advisor with a minimum bachelor's degree in law, public policy, or similar field with a stint with a public or private sector entity dealing with legal regulatory framework and issues - (a) Areas of expertise: Power sector dispute resolution, review of bylaws, regulations, rules, contract negotiation, development and review of IPPs, review of documents such as PPAs and implementation agreements

    • Technical Regulatory Advisor with a minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent in engineering, management or related field. Stint with a regulated electricity utility with a focus on utility operations and related engineering issues or with an electricity regulator – (a) Areas of expertise: Power system planning, power system technical operations, electricity utility benchmarking & monitoring, grid code study, tariff design including service standards and technical parts of tariff design, and (b) Experience in renewable energy, especially hydropower-dominant system.
