    Listen to this Article

FairSquare is the first Competition Law Society of the National Law University, Delhi. Through FairSquare Dialogue, they aim to create a forum for commentary, analysis, and scholarship on competition law, policy, and economics.

The University invites original, unpublished submissions for its blog. They seek sharp, accessible, and well-reasoned pieces that advance conversations around competition law and economics, both in India and globally. Submissions from students, academics, practitioners, economists, policy-makers, and interdisciplinary researchers are welcome.

    Mandate & Scope

They publish short, focused, and analytically strong pieces that examine legal, regulatory, and policy issues in competition law and economics. Submissions may adopt doctrinal, empirical, comparative, or policy-oriented approaches.

    Formats

    • Articles (1,000–1,600 words): Concise, well-argued perspectives on contemporary issues.
    • Case Comments: Focused analysis of recent CCI or court decisions.
    • Opinion Pieces: Shorter reflections on emerging debates, reforms, or global developments.
    • Book Reviews: Critical engagement with recent scholarship on competition law or economics.
    • Response Pieces: Engagement with previously published FairSquare Dialogue posts.
    • Short-Form Notes (600–800 words, non-student contributors only): Focused insights on niche or time-sensitive issues.

For particularly substantive submissions, longer pieces (up to 2,200 words) or two-part series may be considered upon editorial approval.

    Word-Length & Style

    • Preferred length: 1,000–1,600 words (flexible for longer pieces if justified).
    • Style: Write for an informed but broad audience. Clarity, coherence, and precision matter more than jargon.
    • Formatting: Times New Roman, size 12, justified alignment, 1.15 spacing.
    • Referencing: Use hyperlinks wherever possible. If sources are not online, use endnotes (not footnotes) in OSCOLA 4th Edition. Endnotes should be formatted in Times New Roman, size 10, single spacing.
    • Title: No longer than 12 words.

    Submission Rules & Copyright

    • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Prior preprints or cross-posting intentions must be disclosed.
