    Nyayavimarsha is a peer-reviewed, open-access online journal launched on January 1, 2024, with an e-ISSN: 3048-5134. It aims to enhance legal research across various disciplines and is supported by a distinguished board, including Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Former Cabinet Minister for Law and Commerce; Mr. Ram Bhushan Trivedi, former judge, DRT and Prof. Dr. Raka Arya, Dean, NLIU, Bhopal and nominated member of 22nd Law Commission of India.

    Participants may choose to write on any one of the following topics:

    1. America's Invisible Hand: Rethinking Indo-Pak tensions and the 'Vishwaguru' delusion
    2. Timeline for Presidential Assent: A constitutional necessity or judicial overreach?
    3. Behind the robe: Can judges be questioned?
      How can India balance judicial independence with public accountability when serious questions arise about the conduct of sitting judges? Evaluate the limitations of the in-house procedure and explore possible reforms.
    4. Nationwide caste census: Could it advance equality, or would it entrench identity politics?
    5. Social-media activism and free speech: Where should the law draw the line between robust online dissent and punishable content?
    6. From the League of Nations to the United Nations to What Next? Evaluating the UN's effectiveness in preventing war: Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Palestine, Indo-Pak, Israel-Iran and beyond
    7. The Bangladesh Conundrum: How internal disturbances in Bangladesh affect India–Bangladesh relations
    8. UAPA and civil liberties: Does the Act—seen through Prof. G. N. Saibaba's case—strike the right balance between security and rights?
    9. Measuring India's economic rise: In gauging India's status as the world's fourth-largest economy, should policymakers focus on per-capita income or purchasing-power-parity GDP? Analyse the strengths and pitfalls of each yardstick.
    10. Taxing the citizen or terrorising them?
      Is India's current income tax regime promoting compliance or fostering 'tax terrorism'? Should the idea of abolishing income tax in favour of indirect and consumption-based taxation be seriously considered?
    11. Privatization and accountability in the skies
      In the absence of a public sector airline, has privatization weakened institutional accountability in India's aviation sector? Analyse the implications with reference to the recent Air India crash in Ahmedabad.
    12. Naxalism's undoing: A movement against its own cause?: How did a movement born for social justice become entangled in violence, hinder development, and harm those it vowed to help—while also enabling foreign interference?
    13. Democracy on campus: Mandating student unions?: Should universities be required to have elected student unions to ensure democratic representation?
    14. Digital Personal Data Protection Act:
      Will it safeguard privacy or widen state-corporate surveillance?
    15. Climate loss-and-damage fund: What role should India play in securing relief for the most vulnerable nations?

    Guidelines

    • Word Limit: 2000–3000 words (excluding footnotes)
    • Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing; Bluebook 20th ed. citation
    • Co-authorship is not permitted
    • Submissions must be original, with less than 10% plagiarism and limited AI content (5–10%)
    • Essays must be submitted in .doc or .docx format
