After the lighting of the lamp and Kulgeet, the induction ceremony proceeded with the opening address which was delivered by the Vice Chancellor, who portrayed the institution as more than just an academic campus, describing it as “a crucible where intellect is forged into advocacy and character is tempered by service.” setting a tone, inviting new students to embrace both scholarship and social responsibility, he articulated a shared vision for the year ahead encouraging cultivation of a campus climate where every contribution is valued and every aspiration is nurtured.

Inviting the Chief Guest for the Day 1 of the ceremony, Justice M.M Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India who commenced his address by congratulating the newest batch and posing a question “One may wonder about, What's so exciting about law? It's not just a profession—it's a calling”, he said and further elaborated that despite its difficulty, it still remains just as exciting, because the hardest part isn't just speaking—it's making people listen. And once they listen, convincing them? That's the real challenge, he observed.

Following the address he further remarked, "They say: 'If your eyes are positive, you'll love the world. If your tongue is positive, the world will love you.' Words—are your most powerful weapons. And knowledge? Your tool. Not just to argue, but to command—whether before a judge, a client, or society itself." and this spoke about the experience and beauty within law, bringing the community together providing it a light which ponders upon its very depth. Presenting Lawyers as Social Engineers, and their job? “To study society—its conflicts, its cooperations. To think of our own families—fighting with siblings one minute, uniting the next. That's life. And law? It's the framework that holds it all together”, Justice Sundresh opines. Moving forward and addressing the rise of Artificial Intelligence, "It's coming". He said. “Traditional cases? Partition suits? Property disputes? They'll vanish. Cybercrimes? Environmental law? Space law? That'll be the future. Specialize or struggle. He concluded by saying "Stay hungry. Stay foolish. Keep learning.”

The chain of addresses was then taken up by Justice AP Sahi, President National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, former Chief Justice of Madras High Court, and Patna High Court and Judge of Allahabad High Court. He traced the evolution of corporate law, observing that “today's transactional landscape demands counsel who can translate complex regulations into strategic business solutions.” Emphasizing the social dimension of corporate practice, he reminded students that “every contract signed has human stories behind it—our duty is to ensure justice as much as profitability.” Sharing his experiences further he stirred a reminder that there still is a duty, the duty to march, duty as that given by Late Netaji Subash Chandra Bose to fight back for peaceful and healthy lives, to remember in these trying times Late President of United States of America John Fitzgerald Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can give to you, Ask what you can give to your country" and to understand that crisis is an opportunity to assess the unforeseen and perform - to understand the unknown - and encourage people to live by living with them actively and not abandoning duty -like Florence Nightingale. This moment poses a challenge that gives you an opportunity to face it.

Emphasizing the bond between law and leadership he narrated anecdotes regarding luminaries such as of Late Mr. Arun Jaitley who once dreamt of becoming a chartered accountant. But he was also deeply involved in student leadership and as a result he switched to law. Through this he encouraged the students to keep dedication alive. He further shared an anecdote about another respected Supreme Court Justice who once practiced law, served the government, and was elevated to the Madras High Court in 2009. In 12 years, he has pronounced over one lakh cases—a record Yet In his courtroom, a lawyer once said, 'You are God; I have nowhere else to go.' His response? Full of humility: 'Don't seek God in us. Seek God in justice. We are humble servants.' thereby aspiring humility grace and integrity among the new generation of law students.
