Admissions Notification: Postgraduate And Doctoral Programmes At NUJS Kolkata 2025–2026 [Apply By 26th May]

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, announces admissions for the academic session 2025–2026. Applications are invited for postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in disciplines including Law, Forensic Science, Criminology, and Data Science.

| 1 | 2 years M.Sc. in Forensic Science – Eligibility: B.Sc./B.Sc. Hons. with Forensic Science/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Computer Science/ Physics/ Anthropology/ B.Sc.LL.B. or any equivalent degree with minimum of 55% marks. |
| 2 | 2 years LL.M. in Data Science & Data Protection Law (In collaboration with IISER-Kolkata, IIIT Kalyani & Cognizant)- Eligibility: A bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a UGC-recognized Indian University or an equivalent international degree. For international candidates, equivalence will be determined by the Committee for Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS). |
| 3 | 2 years M.A/M.Sc. Criminology - Eligibility: A Bachelor's Degree in Arts (B.A.) with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a UGC recognised University is eligible to apply for M.A in Criminology. A Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a UGC recognised University is eligible to apply for M.Sc. in Criminology. |
| 4 | Ph.D. programme available in Law, Political Science, History, Economics, Criminology, Data Science and Forensic Science. Eligibility- LL.M degree or Master degree in respective subject from any recognized Indian/Foreign University with minimum 55% marks. For Data Science candidates- Eligibility-BE/B.Tech/Master Degree/ LLM degree in any of the relevant subjects (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related fields) from any University /Institute recognized by UGC with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. For Criminology candidates- Eligibility- Post graduate in any of the relevant subjects (Criminology, Law, Sociology, Psychology) from any University /Institute recognized by UGC with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/GATE/JRF fellowship/SET and working professionals (Corporate/Industry/Academic Persons) having experience of 10 years have to undergo interview. |

Printed hard copies of application form, Research Proposal (for Ph.D) and payment receipt as submitted on the Samarth portal should be sent to the Registrar, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, 12, LB Block, Sector-III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700106 by hand or by post.
Selection process will give due weightage to admission test, personal interview and academic records.
