National Law University, Delhi, is launching its flagship Post Graduate Insolvency Program (PGIP)-MA/LLM in Insolvency, commencing August 2025.

This program is designed for both legal and non-legal graduates, combining academic engagement with practical exposure to the evolving field of insolvency, corporate rescue, restructuring, and liquidation. It seeks to nurture a new generation of insolvency professionals equipped with theoretical insight and real-world experience.

PGIP is a 24-month, full-time postgraduate program comprising one year of academic instruction followed by one year of structured work experience through full-time internships, facilitated by NLU Delhi.

Depending on prior qualifications, successful candidates will graduate with either an LL.M. (for those with an LL.B.) or an M.A. (for candidates from non-legal backgrounds).

A key highlight of the PGIP is its alignment with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). The PGIP certification from the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) involves clearing the Limited Insolvency (LI) Exam and becoming an Insolvency Professional (IP) on graduation, which otherwise requires a 10-year work experience to become eligible to write the LI exam.

Further, the degrees awarded under PGIP are fully accredited and confer eligibility for the National Eligibility Test (NET) and further academic pathways, including Ph.D. programs.

    Application Deadline: 3 June 2025
