NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad announces the 18th edition of the Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition, to be held offline from 26th September 2025 to 28th September 2025 at the NALSAR campus. Organized in collaboration with the Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust, and supported by the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, the BRS Moot has evolved into one of the constitutional law moots in the country.

Over the years, it has earned a reputation for the clarity and depth of its propositions, usually grounded in live constitutional debates. It has stood out for the quality of its judging panels, including jurists, senior advocates, legal scholars, and former judges. The competition sees participation from top law schools across India. Over 100 teams registered in the last edition. The competition pushes participants to think not just about legal provisions, but how the Constitution works in practice, and how it shapes institutions, rights, and governance.

This year's proposition has been drafted by a team from the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy: Alok Prasanna, Namrata Mukherjee, Mayuri Gupta, Kartavi Satyarthi, Anshul Dalmia, and Jwalika Balaji, which centres on nuanced and evolving issues of constitutional interpretation and institutional accountability.
