Rotaract Club Of HPNLU Shimla Conducts Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive And Awareness Skit At GMSSS Ghanahatti

The Rotaract Club of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) Shimla, under the aegis of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Vice- Chancellor, HPNLU and in association with Rotary District 3080, organized a Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive accompanied by a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Skit and Speech at the Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Ghanahatti.

The event was conducted as part of Rotary International's larger campaign to set a world record by distributing six lakh sanitary pads across the nation, emphasizing menstrual health and hygiene. The programme was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Rtn. Ravikant Jain Ji, and Rtn. Manvir Singh, President of the Rotary Club of Shimla Midtown.

Sanitary pads were distributed to the students of the Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Ghanahatti to promote better health practices and ensure accessibility to basic menstrual hygiene products. The drive significantly contributed to spreading awareness on menstrual dignity and well-being among the youth, reinforcing the commitment of HPNLU Shimla and its Rotaract Club towards social welfare and public health education.

An awareness skit was performed by the Rotaract members to educate students on the importance of menstrual hygiene, dispel prevailing taboos, and foster an environment of open dialogue and acceptance. The event was organized by the Dr. Hari Chand, Coordinator, Rotaract Club of HPNLU, Shimla, President Ritik Jinata, Vice President Kartikay, Secretary Sonia Singh Rana and other Rotaract Club members.
