Lapidary Foundation Opens Applications For 9-Month Legal Fellowship For Kashmiri Law Students [Apply By 11th April]

About the fellowship:

The Lapidary Foundation Fellowship is a prestigious 9 month program designed for law students who have grown up and studied in Kashmir. It provides a unique opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to deepen their local knowledge, engage with their communities, and receive top-tier legal training.

The fellowship offers 180+ hours of hybrid training and 60+ hours of in-person interactions, ensuring comprehensive skill development. Participants benefit from a structured curriculum that bridges academic knowledge with practical legal experience.

Upon successful completion of the training, fellows gain access to internship opportunities at India's leading law firms and organizations, with strong prospects for full-time placements. Past fellows have secured positions at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, PLR Chambers, Mahindra & Mahindra, Integreon, Trilegal, and Diageo etc. Additionally, several alumni have gone on to practice as advocates at the Supreme Court of India.

Notably, many fellows who demonstrated exceptional performance during their internships have been offered permanent roles at their respective organizations.

Eligibility Criteria:

The Lapidary Foundation Fellowship is open to 3^rd to 5^th-year BA.LL.B students from the University of Kashmir, Central University of Kashmir, Kashmir Law College, Vitasta School of Law and Humanities, KCEF Law College, and Sopore Law College.

However, there are two key exceptions:

• BA.LL.B students in their 4^th semester are also eligible.
• LL.B students in their 6^th semester are not eligible.
