    The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), India, in collaboration with King's College London, United Kingdom, announces the Summer School 2025 on 'Financial Regulations and Corporate Law,' which will take place from 17th June to 27th June, 2025, at the WBNUJS Campus in Kolkata, India.

    This program is designed to provide participants with a deep and comprehensive understanding of the complex relationships between financial regulations and corporate law.     After the completion of the inaugural Summer School, the International Office, WBNUJS and King's College London are organizing the second edition of the Summer School on 'Financial Regulations and Corporate Law.' Building on the success and positive feedback from the first session, this year's program promises to be even more enriching and impactful.

    • Students (Pursuing undergraduate or Postgraduate Degrees in Law, Commerce, Management, Financial Regulations and other allied areas from a recognized University),

    Applications are encouraged from diverse nationalities, educational, cultural, age, gender, and professional backgrounds.

    Information for Foreign Applicants

    Application Process:

    Candidates interested in applying for the Summer School are required to send an email to summerschool@nujs.edu to express their interest. Upon receipt of the email, the banking details for the registration fee will be provided. After completing the payment, candidates must fill in the Google Form .

    Once the payment is verified, an acknowledgment will be issued to confirm the registration.

    For Foreign Nationals*:

    A formal letter of acceptance will be issued to assist in obtaining an Indian visa. To request this letter, candidates must complete the necessary registration process and send an email with their passport details immediately after making the payment and filling in the above-mentioned Google Form. The letter will be provided promptly.

    For any inquiries related to visa assistance or other matters, candidates may contact summerschool@nujs.edu.

    Non-Indian applicants, without valid Indian Visa are strongly advised to complete the prerequisite registration by April 30th, 2025, to ensure sufficient time for visa processing, which may take upto six weeks on average. Visa Costs will be borne by the individual applicants.

    For visa applicants, applying for “e-conference visa” category, as soon as possible is suggested.

    Fees

    Registration Fees (includes study material, summer school merchandise & kit, lunch, refreshments, Welcome Dinner):

    • For Indian Participants: Rs. 30,000 + 18 % GST
    • For Participants from SAARC Countries: Rs. 35,000
    • For Participants from Non-SAARC Countries: $ 600 USD

    Accommodation Fees:

    Additional- 20,000 + 18% GST

    Accommodation Details:

    The university currently does not provide accommodation in its own hostel premises.

    Accommodation has been arranged in other institutional hostel/guest houses, which are nearby to WBNUJS campus on sharing basis.

    The accommodation charge shall also include the breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner during the days of the summer school and transportation from the accommodation to WBNUJS campus.

    Since there are a limited number of accommodations available, they shall be provided on first-come-first serve basis. The candidates may call or email to seek more information on the accommodation status before making additional payments for accommodation.

    However, in some cases if requested, the university shall provide names and addresses of nearby Guest Houses/ Hotels which the candidates must contact on their own.

    • All participants will be expected to bear their transport costs.
    • Reading material like scholarly articles, Judgements, other necessary documents related to the course shall be distributed or emailed, as directed by the session lecturer.

    Note: The documents mentioned above must be in PDF Format and below 10 MB in size. We shall only accept complete applications via the aforementioned Google form. No applications via post/ email or any other method shall be accepted.

    The registration process cannot be completed by making payment alone. The Google Form must also be completed.
