Kerala Bar Council Sends Show Cause Notice To Advocate Who Made Reel Of His Enrollment With Visuals Of HC Judge's Official Car

The short video accompanied by background music starts with the visuals of the official car of a High Court Judge clearly showing the Indian Flag affixed on the car, Ashoka Chakra and the board having words ' Judge High Court of Kerala'. The number plate of the vehicle is also visible. The video then proceeds to show various visuals of the day of the enrollment. At the time of publishing, the video was removed from the Instagram page

The notice said that showing the official vehicle of the car of the Judge is 'ill-motivated, malicious and mischievous against the judiciary'. The notice also said that the video amounts to advertising and soliciting which is demeaning the dignity of the judiciary.

The Bar Council has asked Fayiz to reply within 15 days on why action under Section 35 of the Advocates Act should not be taken against him.
