    A first information report (FIR) has been registered on Thursday (June 26) as Crime No. 843/2025 of the Kalamassery Police Station following an incident of theft from the private residence of sitting Kerala High Court judge Justice A. Badharudeen.

    Crime was registered under Section 305 [Theft in a dwelling house, or means of transportation or place of worship, etc.] of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

    According to the FIR, Crime was registered on the basis of the complaint given by the Private Secretary of the judge. It is stated in the FIR that a total of 6 sovereigns of gold ornaments, including bangles, were stolen from the table in the bedroom of the private residence of the judge.

    As per the FIR, the incident occurred sometime between 9 am and 12 pm on June 23rd (Monday) and a complaint was given before the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ernakulam, which was forwarded to the Kalamassery Police Station.
