Senior Advocate & Former Additional Solicitor General At Calcutta High Court YJ Dastoor Passes Away

Senior Advocate and former Additional Solicitor General at the Calcutta High Court, Yezdezard Jahangir Dastoor has passed away.

Dastoor had been appointed as the Additional Solicitor General on June 30, 2020, for a period of 3 years.

He had been involved in several high-profile cases representing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) before the Calcutta High Court in matters such as the Birbhum-Rampurhat cases, as well as the 2021 post-poll violence case.

In 2022, he resigned from his position as Additional Solicitor General and returned to private practise.
