The Apex Court also refused to entertain journalist Abhisar Sharma's plea against an Assam Police FIR under Section 152 BNS. The Delhi High Court held that conviction of a single accused for gang rape is valid if co-accused escape trial. The Rajasthan High Court denied bail to ex-PHED Minister Mahesh Joshi in a ₹2 crore bribery and money laundering case under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court will hear on August 30 a plea challenging the new law banning online money games.
