Essential Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in law.
• 6+ years of experience in contract management or related fields.
• Domain expertise in commercial contracting principles in civil and common law. Strong understanding of contracting lifecycle management, procure-to-pay cycle with emphasis on technology applications.
• Deep understanding of risk associated with the delivery of professional consulting services and an ability to identify specific approaches to a variety of such risks.
• Proven track record influencing a diverse set of stakeholders and driving common outcomes with a strong understanding of commercial contracting practices.
• Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills in an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
• Excellent leadership skills including the ability to prioritize critical needs, act decisively, and handle a high volume of complex tasks within a given timeframe.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide SME support for contract management teams the areas of pre and post contract management and contract consulting, collaborate with different functions to socialize agreement/contractual requirements.
• Assist in developing and implementing contract management strategies for client RFP and solutions.
• Provide learning and development support to local teams, addressing contract-related issues and providing guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with global teams and clients to provide advice and solutions as may be needed for projects and internal requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of core legal managed services (IT, managed services, outsourcing perspective) and product offerings to continue supporting contracting and risk matters in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Provide mentoring and training to legal managed services colleagues and to a broader audience to enhance knowledge of and compliance with firm policies, templates, and processes.
• Proactively pursue, assess, and, where appropriate, advance firm initiatives, including the areas of legal software, cloud, data analytics, operate services, and privacy and security.
• Be member of solution building and RFP response teams, provide innovative, tech-enabled solutions for client RFPs and requirements; apply commercial acumen, SME and Tech skills.
• Lead consulting projects in contracts management largely into contracts templatization, contracts management process review, SOP and Playbooks drafting.
• Work experience in contract management and contracts automation software such as Icertis and SmartContracts is essential.
• Experience with AI technologies such as GenAI.
• Work experience in procure-to-pay lifecycle and tools is preferred.
