Chandigarh Law College, CGC University Mohali Organises National Moot Court Competition 2025
CGC University, Mohali was established in 2025 under the aegis of the Chandigarh Educational Society. Eperience of over 25+ years in delivering education, the institution has transformed into a full-fledged university while upholding its academic foundation. Under its previous identity as Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, the institution earned the NAAC A+ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.46/4.0.
Established in 2021, Chandigarh Law College has quickly become an institution for legal education. They offer a 3-year LLB program along with various 5-year integrated programs such as BA LLB, BCom LLB, and BBA LLB. Chandigarh Law College has a faculty comprising experienced legal scholars and practitioners who provide academic environment and real-world insights.
The Event is being organised to provide a platform for law students across the country to sharpen their analytical and argumentative skills which focus on understanding, historical research, analytical ability, logical thinking, presentation and judgment. To develop confidence in dealing effectively with the wide array of difficult situations faced during the courtroom process and to enhance teamwork and leadership qualities among the law students. Mooting is one of the most essential skills for any law professional. Moot courts or mock trials are usually based on hypothetical cases, involving emerging or unsettled areas of law. Law students, who participate in these activities, are given the opportunity to develop their research, legal writing and oral advocacy skills in a mock courtroom setting. Additionally, moot court presentation inculcates professional legal etiquettes in the students which equip them to adapt with courtroom practices.
Eligibilty
All students duly enrolled and pursuing a full-time 3-year LL.B. program or a 5-year integrated LL.B. from the Institution/University recognized by the Bar Council of India or equally competent authority shall be eligible to participate in the competition. Each team shall comprise of three members (two speakers and one researcher).

Registration
Teams interested in participating can register through the Google Form & Scanning the QR or contact the event organizers for further details. The competition is open to all law students enrolled in undergraduate programs across India, and the registration fee is Rs 4500/- per team
Accommodation – Teams are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. We will help the teams in arranging their accommodation. However, the college may provide purely simple accommodation at an additional charge of Rs. 1500 per team for a stay of two days, which is separate from the registration fee.
