DBRANLU Sonepat Secures 3rd Place At National Law School's Negotiation, Mediation, & Client Counselling Competition.
The National Law School's Negotiation, Mediation, and Client Counselling Competition (NLS NMC) remains one of Asia's platforms for showcasing skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The 11th edition, held on August 10, 2025, at the NLSIU campus in Bengaluru, witnessed competition among 44 participating teams, with 20 advancing to the final rounds.
Representing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, Sudikshaa Pandey and Manya Goel of Batch 2023–2028 performed in the Client Counselling segment. The team reached the semifinals and ultimately secured 3rd place, marking a milestone for the university. The semifinal rounds were judged by Suraj Sampath (Advocate) and Bharati Rao (Founder, Snehi Mediation and Counselling), who commended the participants for their understanding of client concerns and their ability to provide legal solutions.
Their performance reflected teamwork, depth, and finesse.
About the Competition
The NLS NMC 2025 featured three core segments: Negotiation, Mediation, and Client Counselling. Each tested the participants' ability to handle real-world legal scenarios with professionalism and clarity. Judges, including Arjun Perikal (Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas), Poornima Hatti (Partner, Samvad Partners), and Anupama Hebbar (Partner, Keystone Partners), evaluated the teams on their skills, strategies, and ability to blend legal knowledge with interpersonal effectiveness.
This achievement underscores Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat in national ADR circuits. The success of Manya Goel and Sudikshaa Pandey reflects the institution's emphasis on legal training alongside academic rigor, equipping students with skills vital for the evolving legal profession.
Their accomplishment was acknowledged by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Singh, the Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Mishra, and the Faculty Convenor of the Moot Court Society, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh.
