Delhi Court Rejects Bail Plea Saying It Was Too Bulky & Voluminous With 500 Pages
A Delhi POCSO Court on Friday dismissed a bail plea filed by an accused running approximately 500 pages saying that it was too voluminous and bulky.
Special POCSO judge Ramesh Kumar of Karkardooma Courts said that adjudication of the bail plea is going to consume precious judicial time.
The FIR was registered last year at Kalyanpuri police station. The matter was heard in-camera.
As the bail plea was taken up for hearing, the judge noted that the counsel for the accused had drafted the bail application in approximately 500 pages along with annexures.
“….and for the court it is not possible to go through the same being too much voluminous. The undersigned is burdened with the disposal of the old matters,” the Court said.
“The application of the applicant/accused is hereby dismissed on account of too voluminous and bulky and going to consume precious judicial time to go through the same,” it added.
The judge advised the accused's counsel to concise the bail application.
The Court dismissed the application and granted liberty to the to file a fresh bail plea.
