In a full Court meeting today (January 22), the Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna and the other judges of the Supreme Court including members of the Collegium comprising Justices B.R. Gavai, Surya Kant, Hrishikesh Roy and Abhay S. Oka have designated the following former Chief Justice/Judges of the High Courts as Senior Advocates with effect from January 22:

1. Arvind Singh Sangwan, former Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad

2. C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy, former Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

3. Goutam Bhaduri, former Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh

4. S. Vaidyanathan, former Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya
