Six new judges were sworn in at the Delhi High Court today.

The new judges are:

- Justice V Kameswar Rao

- Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre

- Justice Vivek Chaudhary

- Justice Anil Kshertarpal

- Justice Arun Monga

- Justice Ok Prakash Shukla

With their swearing-in, the high court's strength has gone to 40. The sanctioned strengthen of judges is 60.

Their transfer was notified by the Central Government on July 14 after the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium.

Before their transfer, Justice Sambre was in the Bombay High Court whereas Justice Chaudhary and Justice Shukla were in the Allahabad High Court.

Justice Kshetarpal was in the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Justice Monga was in the Rajasthan High Court.

Justice Rao has been repatriated to the Delhi High Court from the Karnataka High Court.
