Centre Notifies Appointment Of Three Judicial Officers As Delhi High Court Judges
The Union Government has notified the appointment of three judicial officers as the judges of the Delhi High Court.
The judicial officers are:
- Mr. Vinod Kumar
- Ms. Shail Jain
- Ms. Madhu Jain
The announcement has been made by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in a post made on X (formerly Twitter) today.
With their appointment, the strength of judges at the Delhi High Court will rise to 43. The sanctioned strengthen of judges is 60.
Judge Vinod Kumar is serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of East District (Karkardooma Courts).
Judge Shail Jain is serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of South District (Saket Courts).
Judge Madhu Jain is serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of West District (Tis Hazari Courts).
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 01st July had approved the proposal for appointment of Judge Madhu Jain and Judge Shail Jain as judges of the Delhi High Court.
In its meeting held on 02nd, the Collegium had approved the proposal for appointment of Judge Vinod Kumar as judges of the Delhi High Court.
On Monday, the Delhi High Court got six new judges namely Justice V Kameswar Rao, Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre, Justice Vivek Chaudhary, Justice Anil Kshertarpal, Justice Arun Monga and Justice Ok Prakash Shukla.
