Call For Papers: Journal Of Indian Legal Thought (JILT), Volume 19 (2025)
The School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University, established in 1989, invites contributions for the 19th Volume (2025) of its flagship publication, the Journal of Indian Legal Thought (JILT).
The Journal, published since 2003, is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal and is included in the UGC CARE List. It aims to promote systematic research and the study of law through innovative and interdisciplinary approaches.
Categories and Word Limit
Articles: 7000–12000 words (including footnotes)
Case Notes and Legislative Comments: 1500–3000 words (including footnotes)
Book Reviews: 1500–3000 words (including footnotes)
Submission and Formatting Guidelines:
All submissions must be in Microsoft Word format in Times New Roman with font size 12 and line spacing of 1.5.
Citations must conform to the Bluebook (21st edition) style of citation.
Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single line spacing.
All submissions must be original and unpublished work of the author and should not have been submitted, accepted, or published elsewhere.
Submit an electronic copy of your manuscript along with a covering letter mentioning the name of the author, occupation, title of manuscript, mobile phone number, and contact address.
Plagiarism report must accompany the covering letter and the manuscript (similarities up to 10% alone will be permitted).
Articles found plagiarized will be summarily rejected.
Co-authorship is allowed (maximum of 2 authors).
Articles will go through a double-blind peer review, and acceptance will be subject to the report of the reviewers.
Send a plagiarism check report along with the article. Articles without the report will not be entertained.
