NLIU Bhopal's CSIPR Invites Submissions For Blog On Technology & IPR [Rolling Basis]
Cell for Studies in Intellectual Property Rights (CSIPR) at NLIU, Bhopal, is an initiative aimed to promote and develop knowledge in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). It introduces students to myriad aspects of IPR by organising academic endeavours which include conferences and also publishes the annual NLIU IPR Law Journal. By organizing workshops, conferences, and publishing scholarly works, the cell aims to deepen understanding of Intellectual Property Rights.
National Law Institute University, Bhopal, ranks among the oldest National Law Universities in India. NLIU has led in providing legal education and has cultivated a alumni network that has excelled in traditional legal fields as well as in public administration, academia, and policy-making. The university fosters research in legal fields, organizing interdisciplinary and industry-wide workshops, seminars, and training programs on topics of current legal significance. The university serves as the alma mater for numerous journals that accept submissions from students, professionals, regulators, and academicians throughout the legal field, fostering a culture of academic research and facilitating multi-directional discourse.
The blogs published by Cell for Studies in Intellectual Property Rights follow a double-blind, peer-reviewed process and offer insights on various legal issues. The Blog on Technology and Intellectual Property Law aims to serve as a forum for the expression of the authors' views on various topics of IP law and technology. They cover important developments in IP law, including detailed analysis of judgments, legislative changes, and procedural updates.
Eligibility
Contributions from students, researchers, practitioners, and academicians are welcomed. Submissions should reflect legal reasoning, clarity of thought, and relevance to the field of IP Law.

Word Limit
- Up to 1,500 words (excluding endnotes); flexibility at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
- It is recommended that the title for each post must not exceed 20 words.
- Authors are requested to provide 5 keywords encapsulating the essence of the post.
Formatting
- File Format: Submissions must be in MS Word (.doc or .docx).
- Formatting: Times New Roman, size 12 (main text), 1.5 spacing; footnotes size 10, single spacing.
- Citation: Considering the semi-formal nature of the blog, it shall be appreciated that referencing be done only through hyperlinks, wherever necessary. Authors are particularly encouraged to reference recent amendments and obscure laws. The authors may, however, choose to cite authorities (if and when it is absolutely necessary) using endnotes. In doing so, authors must follow the guidelines given in the Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA 4th Edition).
Plagiarism and Originality
- Submissions must be original and unpublished, and they should not be under consideration elsewhere. Submissions having plagiarism of more than 15% will be rejected.
- Any submission found to be plagiarised or otherwise contravening this rule will be summarily rejected.
Anonymity
The manuscript must not contain any identifiable information about the author(s), including name(s), institution, address, or any other details indicating their identity.
Co-authorship
Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors.
Copyright and Responsibility
Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe upon any third-party rights. Authors bear sole responsibility for any such violations.
Editorial Discretion
The editorial board reserves the right to suggest edits, including adding or removing content, at its discretion. Authors are expected to incorporate these changes within a specified timeframe.
