DNLU, Jabalpur Signs MoU With India Juris To Launch National Moot Court Initiative
Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and experiential legal education, has further expanded its outreach through a partnership with India Juris, an international law firm founded by Mr. Sameer Rastogi. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on April 18, 2025, establishes a long-term collaboration to promote mooting culture and strengthen advocacy-based learning among students.
The MoU formalizes the joint organization of the DNLU-INDIA JURIS Moot Court Competition, with India Juris serving as the Title Sponsor for a period of three years. As part of this agreement, the Firm will extend professional support through the involvement of its partners and associates as judges and mentors during the competition. The initiative aims to provide a platform for aspiring law students to hone their legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
Established under the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act, 2018, DNLU continues to grow under its leadership: Justice J.K. Maheshwari, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, as Visitor; Justice Suresh Kumar Kait, Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, as Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, as Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. Praveen Tripathi, as Registrar.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Registrar, DNLU, and Mr. Sameer Rastogi, Managing Partner, India Juris. The signing was witnessed by Mr. Shashank Pathak, Assistant Professor of Law, DNLU, and senior representatives from India Juris. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to bridging the gap between academic institutions and the legal profession by creating opportunities for student engagement and industry mentorship.
