The Orpheus Sabha Foundation, in collaboration with Kshitizz NGO, is delighted to present the 2nd edition of Vaktrita, Online Moot Court Competition aimed at providing law students with an inclusive and enriching platform for courtroom advocacy.

The Orpheus Sabha Foundation is a registered and established non-profit organisation under the Companies Act, 2013. We aim to provide the youth with the opportunity and platform to express their opinions, refine their research skills, enhance their public speaking abilities, and become a part of a community that is inclusive, diverse, and holistic. Orpheus has consistently been committed to the development of essential debating skills, the promotion of lively discussions, and the provision of a dynamic forum for public speaking.

Kshitizz, an NGO that was established and promoted by the visionary students of Damodaram Sanjivayya Law University, Visakhapatnam, is situated at the core of India's transformative spirit. The term "Kshitizz" is derived from the Hindi word "Horizon." An India-based not-for-profit and non-political organisation, Kshitizz is founded on the principles of progress and compassion. It is in tune with the tempo of empowerment.

The organization's noble mission is depicted in a tapestry of beneficiaries, including the Underprivileged Children, Youth, Old Age, and Women. Each stitch is meticulously woven with the threads of Empowerment, Creativity, Innovation, Peace, Harmony, and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations.

 Vaktrita 2.0

This is the second edition of the Vaktrita Online Moot Court Competition, which is intended to eliminate obstacles and offer prospective attorneys from all backgrounds an equal opportunity to refine their abilities in a real-world environment. Regardless of whether you are an experienced participant or a novice to moot court, this competition provides a platform for all individuals to exhibit their abilities and develop fundamental legal skills.

Improve your oral advocacy, writing, and legal research skills by participating in rigorous argumentation. Engage with distinguished professionals, esteemed legal scholars, and fellow students to establish connections that will be beneficial to your future career. Talent is limitless; therefore, this  competition is accessible to individuals from all backgrounds, guaranteeing a diverse and enriching experience for all.

Eligibility

  • The Competition is open to students currently enrolled in LL.B. Undergraduate Degree Courses or LL.M. Postgraduate Degree Courses across the country.
  • The Competition is open to students currently enrolled in 3 or 5 LL.B. Undergraduate Degree Courses or LL.M. Postgraduate Degree Courses across the country.
  • A team is permitted to have members from more than one institution. (Cross teaming )
  • More than one team from one institution can register.

Team Composition:

· Each team shall comprise a minimum of two members wherein both the members will be required to perform the role of a speaker,

· Teams may comprise a maximum of three members, wherein two members shall perform the role of a speaker, and one member shall perform the role of a researcher.

· The substitution of any Team Member is not allowed after the registration deadline except in extenuating circumstances and only with permission of the Organizers.

· Team composition can include members from different institutions rather than being strictly from one institution.
