Dharmashastra National Law University Jabalpur Signs MoU With Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University Lucknow

Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, has strengthened its institutional ties through a strategic collaboration. Adding to its series of partnerships with institutions, DNLU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University Lucknow. This agreement aims to foster exchange programs for students and faculty, facilitate collaborative research and publications, and establish joint training and academic initiatives.

Established in 2018 under the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act, 2018, DNLU is dedicated to advancing legal education and upholding constitutional values. The university is guided by a leadership team, including Justice J.K. Maheshwari, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, as its Visitor; Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, as its Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha as its Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. Praveen Tripathi as Registrar. DNLU offers diverse programs, including B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, was established by an Act of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in 2005, U.P. Act No.28 of 2005 and came into being on 4th of January 2006 to meet up the new challenges in legal field and to strengthen the vision that was given by the establishment of first National Law School of the country. The University is run under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Amar Pal Singh, its Vice-Chancellor, and Mr. Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, IAS as its Registrar.

Prof. (Dr.) Amar Pal Singh is a academician and administrator with nearly four decades of experience in legal education. Before joining as Vice Chancellor of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), he served as Dean at the University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. His professional journey spans 11 years in industry and 28 years in teaching and research.  Prof. Singh has authored four books and published 62 papers in reputed national and international journals. He has also delivered over 200 invited lectures and presentations at academic and governmental institutions in India and abroad.

The MoU was formally signed on July 23, 2025, by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha and Prof. (Dr.) Amar Pal Singh at signing ceremony held at the DNLU Jabalpur campus.

This collaboration seeks to leverage the strengths of both institutions in capacity building, education, and research in the legal field. The agreement envisions exchange programs for students and faculty, collaborative research projects, and joint academic events such as seminars, conferences, and moot court competitions.
