DNLU Jabalpur Hosts 3rd DNLU Conclave To Foster Academic–Professional Synergy In Law

Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur hosted the 3rd Edition of the DNLU Conclave, a four-day event held from October 30 to November 2, 2025, bringing together distinguished leaders from the legal profession, academia, and industry.

Organized by the Recruitment Coordination Committee (Batch of 2026) and the Internship Coordination Cell, under the guidance of  Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Registrar and Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Faculty In-Charge Mr. Shashank Pathak, and Assistant Registrar & Placement Officer Ms. Shruti Tiwari, the Conclave aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice through direct engagement with eminent legal professionals.

The vision of the DNLU Conclave is to serve as a premier forum fostering dialogue between legal academia and practice, nurturing an environment where students gain first-hand exposure to the evolving dynamics of the legal profession and develop industry-ready competencies essential for contemporary legal careers.

The Conclave was graced by Prof. (Dr.) N.L. Mitra, former Vice-Chancellor of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, and the founding Chancellor of National Law University, Jodhpur. With decades of contribution to legal education, institutional development, and policy reform. Prof. Mitra's presence greatly enriched the discussions and inspired the participants

The Conclave featured a total of seven technical panel discussions and five interactive sessions on diverse themes including Sports Law, Data Protection Law, Corporate Law, Securities Law, Competition Law, Intellectual Property Rights, and Arbitration. The sessions witnessed insightful deliberations from eminent speakers such as Ms. Ankita Bharat Kumar, Chief Manager (HR) at King Stubb & Kasiva; Ms. Athira T.S., Associate Partner at King Stubb & Kasiva; Mr. Abhinav Shrivastava, Partner at LawNK; Ms. Saswati Soumya Sahu, Partner at ANB Legal; Ms. Swati Agarwal, Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.; Mr. Mathews Verghese, Partner at Fox Mandal & Associates; Mr. Devvrat Joshi, Associate Partner at Saikrishna & Associates; Mr. Kaushik Mukherjee, Partner at CMS IndusLaw; Mr. Saswat Mohanty, Partner Designate at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices; Mr. Manish Tully, Partner at Vaish Associates Advocates; Mr. Diviay Chadha, Partner at Singhania & Co.; Mr. Sambhav Ranka, Founding Partner of Aequitas Law Partners; Mr. Anchit Oswal, Partner at Khaitan & Co.; Mr. Panduranga Acharya, Counsel at Zepto; Ms. Smitha Chandrashekhar, Counsel at Harman International; Mr. Kartikeya Rawal, Director (Legal) at Swiggy; Mr. Manas Kumar Chaudhuri, Partner at Khaitan & Co.; Mr. Pranav Satyam and Ms. Shalini Prasad, Partners at J. Sagar Associates (JSA); Mr. Anil Tewari, Partner at Hammurabi & Solomon Partners; Mr. Shahezad Kazi, Partner at SNR Associates; and Mr. Aishwarya Kaushiq, Partner at BTG Advaya.The sessions were moderated by Mr. Siddharth Singh, Ms. Samriddhi Seth, Mr. Vikhyaat Maheshwari, Ms. Apoorva Rathaur, Mr. Hemant Tewari, Mr. Anant Gupta, and Mr. Arjun Pandey. Ms. Mihika Minda and Mr. Hanuwant extended media support for the event.

During the Conclave, the University also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aequitas Law Partners to foster greater collaboration in the areas of legal education, research, and professional development. The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Registrar, Dharmashastra National Law University, and Mr. Sambhav Ranka, Founding Partner, Aequitas Law Partners.

Reflecting DNLU's commitment to holistic legal education, the Conclave was a collaborative effort involving student members of the Recruitment Coordination Committee, the Student Bar Association, and the Media Committee, including Mr. Hemant Tewari, Ms. Apoorva Rathaur, Mr. Anant Gupta, Mr. Siddharth Singh, Mr. Vikhyaat Maheshwari, Mr. Abhinav Mishra, Mr. Viraj Lahane, Mr. Karn Kakodiya, Ms. Samriddhi Seth, Mr. Punendra Tiwari, Mr. Shriyansh Mishra, and Mr. Sameer Jat.
