Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL) hosted its sixth edition of TEDx on 23rd February 2025, bringing together a diverse group of speakers who shared their extraordinary journeys, insights, and visions for the future. Lt. Gen. Dushyant Singh, a decorated army officer, shared his journey from a small town in East Uttar Pradesh to becoming a topper at his university. Despite struggling with English initially, his determination and courage helped him overcome obstacles and excel. He recounted incidents from his military career, including postings in conflict zones and counter-terrorism operations, emphasizing the importance of courage and resilience in life. His talk was a testament to the power of perseverance and self-belief. Dr. Nikhil Chandwani, an industrialist, conservationist, and author of 14 books, shed light on the plight of Pakistani Hindus and his efforts to rescue and rehabilitate them. Ms. Archana Pathak Dave, discussed the challenges of litigation and the evolving landscape of the legal profession. She highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and the role of lawyers in shaping the future of law and justice. Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma shared her journey, highlighting the discrimination and social persecution women often face in society. She emphasized the importance of a never-give-up attitude and encouraged the audience to break barriers and strive for excellence despite adversities. Pranav Sharma, a stand-up comedian, shared his unconventional journey of pursuing his passion for comedy. He spoke about the challenges he faced, the odd jobs he took up to support his dream, and the relentless attitude required to achieve one's goals. His humorous yet heartfelt talk resonated deeply with the audience. Manogya Tiwari, a social media influencer, spoke about Lord Hanuman as an inspiring figure in management and diplomacy. She highlighted how Hanuman's qualities of loyalty, strength, and strategic thinking can be applied to modern-day challenges. Sonal Verma discussed the revolutionary role of lawyers in promoting environmental sustainability. She emphasized the responsibility of legal professionals in influencing law, policy, and politics to address emerging global challenges. Cory Cox, a network scientist and AI engineer, shared his experiences as a military recruiter and advisor in the USA. He emphasized the importance of diversifying one's skills and not limiting oneself to a single field. His talk highlighted the value of being tech-savvy and adaptable in a rapidly changing world.
