Reclaim Constitution Announces Nationwide Constitution Quiz For Students
On the occasion of National Flag Day, #ReclaimConstitution announced the launched of the first edition of their Constitution Quiz with a flag hoisting ceremony at RBANM's High School, Ulsoor, Bengaluru. Students reflected on the speeches made by Sarojini Naidu, Jawaharlal Nehru & Jerome D'Souza in the Constituent Assembly on 22 July 1947 when the Indian National Flag was adopted. It served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the ideals the national flag represents. On display was an exhibition of posters showcasing original documents from the Flag Committee which deliberated on the design of the national flag. Also on display was a photo of the first flag of India, which was adopted on 22 July 1947.
The #ReclaimConstitution quiz is being organized under the aegis of the International Institute for Art, Culture & Democracy (IIACD Foundation for students of grades 8 to 12. The quiz is open to students of public & private schools. Homeschooled children are also encouraged to participate. The initiative attempts to bring the Indian Constitution alive for young minds - not just as a document, but as a living, breathing promise.
The quiz hopes to foster deeper understanding of the spirit of the Constitution, the Constituent Assembly Debates, the ideas & struggles that led to our Constitution & the contemporary relevance of constitutional values.
