DNLU Jabalpur To Host 'Nyayamana': Exploring The Art Of Constitution-Making
Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, through its Centre for Constitutional Law, is organizing 'Nyayamana: The Art of Constitution-Making', a flagship event that seeks to simulate the spirit and process of constitution framing through deliberative dialogue, debate, and negotiation.
A constitution is not merely forged from quill and parchment but constructed from voices, visions, arguments, and dissent. Nyayamana aims to bring this dynamic process to life by creating a platform where participants can engage in the art of nation-building. More than a competition, it is designed as an immersive journey into the genesis of a constitution—where ideas, ideologies, and imagination converge to create a foundational text.
Unlike conventional competitions such as moot courts or debates, Nyayamana replicates the vibrancy of a Constituent Assembly. It merges the oratory of mock parliaments with the diplomacy of Model United Nations, offering participants the opportunity to step into the shoes of nation-builders. Through this simulation, they navigate political ideologies, party dynamics, and the delicate art of consensus-building to draft a working constitution.
