The Centre has announced the 6th NLIU-CAM National Commercial Negotiation Competition [NC3], scheduled to be held from 31st October to 2nd November, 2025, in an online format. Launched in 2020 as the NLIU International Negotiation Competition, the event has grown in scale and prestige, attracting participation from leading law schools across the globe. The Competition has achieved new milestones with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas joining as the Title Partner.

Distinctively structured as a Commercial Negotiation Competition, NC3 mirrors real-world negotiation dynamics, integrating legal strategy with practical problem-solving. The Competition focuses on commercial negotiation and offers exciting internship opportunities with CAM, IAMC Hyderabad, and Lectio Law Offices LLP, making it a significant platform for budding legal minds to enhance their negotiation skills and gain valuable exposure.

Format Of The Competition

NC3 will follow a negotiation format, with each team consisting of two members: one Client and one Counsel. A total of 30 teams shall be shortlisted, with the Competition comprising of Preliminary Rounds and the Advanced Rounds (Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final Rounds), proceeding on the basis of cumulative score. On the basis of the scores of the Preliminary Rounds, the top 8 teams will advance to the Quarter-Finals. From there, the top 4 scoring teams will proceed to the Semi-Final round. The 2 highest-scoring teams from the Semi-Finals will then negotiate in the Final Round.

Registration Process

· Provisional registrations are open and interested institutions must submit applications through the official Google Form.

· NLIU-CADR shall be shortlisting the top 30 teams based on merit and send invitations for final registrations accordingly.

· Selected teams must confirm participation and complete the registration process by the notified deadlines.

Eligibility

· Open to all students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Law.

· Both members of a team (Client and Counsel) must be from the same University.

Registration Fees

· INR 7500 per team.

Coaches

· Each team may be accompanied by one coach.

· Registration fee for a coach: INR 1500.

· Coaches may attend their team's negotiation sessions but may not intervene during rounds.

· Coaches will receive a certificate of recognition upon the conclusion of the Competition.
