National Law University Jodhpur (NLUJ) and the NLUJ Alumni Association (NLUJAA) hosted Juris Homecoming '25, the University's first-ever all-batch reunion, from August 15 to 17, 2025. The event witnessed a homecoming of more than 320 alumni and their families, reuniting classmates, mentors, and friends across generations.
The event happened on Independence Day, with alumni returning to their campus, greeted by Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur, Vice Chancellor. A presentation highlighting NLUJ's recent strides was followed by an invitation for alumni to become catalysts in the University's next phase of growth. The alumni relived their student days through campus walks, fun quizzes, spirited sports matches, and a colourful cultural evening followed by Dinner.
On August 16 at Taj Hari Mahal, a Networking Dinner brought together legal luminaries, mentors, and leaders in a relaxed atmosphere. Mr. Shohit Chaudhry, President of NLUJAA, delivered an address, expressing gratitude to the University, faculty, volunteers, and the alumni community for their commitment. He also spotlighted alumni who have consistently stepped up to support both the Association's initiatives and student needs over the years.
The evening also celebrated the impact of NLUJ alumni - now thriving in leadership roles across litigation, judiciary, law firms, civil services, academia, policy, and entrepreneurship. With 150+ law firm partners, over 60 judges in the district judiciary, 40+ Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record, and a presence in more than 20 countries, the NLUJ network has firmly established itself.
Amid the celebrations, there was also a call to action. Mr. Chaudhry emphasized the importance of collective ownership, urging alumni to continue engaging through mentorship, volunteering, and financial contributions. Several alumni also announce new commitments and sponsorships in partnership with the University and the Association.
Looking ahead, NLUJAA unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening alumni engagement and student support:
- Contributions to the University's Means-cum-Merit Scholarship;
- The launch of the NLUJ Alumni Mentorship Policy;
- Reunions in 2026 for the Batch of 2006 (20-year) and Batch of 2016 (10-year), to be followed by similar annual reunions for other batches completing milestone years.
