A 3-member team from Dharmashatra National Law University, Jabalpur comprising of Rashmi Mishra, Ayush Misra and Vagisha Mandloi has successfully qualified for the world rounds of the prestigious Nuremberg Moot Court Competition, 2025. They are one of the only 3 teams from India that have advanced to the final stage of the competition that is set to take place in Nuremberg, Germany from 23rd July, 2025 till 26th July, 2025. Their written submissions have been ranked at the 14th position globally among more than 135 teams that were competing at the written submissions stage. They are one of the only 40 teams from across the world that have advanced to the oral pleadings stage of the competition, along side world-renowned institutions like the University of Oxford. Their achievement is especially significant because they are the first team from their nascent University to have participated and qualified for the world rounds of this esteemed competition.
The Nuremberg Moot Competition is an international moot court competition dealing with International criminal Law that allows aspiring law students from across the world to argue a fictious case before a simulation of the International Criminal Court. The competition takes place in the historic Courtroom 600 – the site where the Nazi trials took place subsequent to World War-II. Participation in this prestigious event provides them an opportunity to enhance their understanding of International Criminal Law and interact with peers and professionals from across the world
Seeking Financial Assistance
However, the financial implications of being able to represent India at the global stage are immense and unbearable for the members of the team whose education is supported by state-run scholarship schemes. Therefore, the team is actively seeking sponsorship to support their representation at the world rounds. Any contribution would make a world of difference for them and help them ensure their participation in the final stage. All contributions will be acknowledged through social media handles of the team members and at university events. The link to the fundraiser is attached herewith –
